The Ember Islands

A cluster of volcanic Shards locked in a slow orbital decay around each other. The Ember Compact forges draw power from the churning void-metal rivers that flow between them. The islands will eventually collide in approximately 340 years — an event the Compact calls the Convergence and celebrates as sacred.
